Will the current economic crisis affect the Nightlife?

With all that is going on with our country’s economic crisis should we be asking ourselves how this will affect the nightlife? Of course!

Since the price of gasoline went up and economy went down we’ve been praying for a change to bring our “High Spirits” up. Based on our current results that has yet to happen. The Gaslamp is a place for the young and old, families and friends to relax and unload the weekly stresses of day-to-day reality. How do we do that while staying within our budget?

Well, don’t hold your breath waiting for a night club to reward you with “frequent guest list miles” for attending events. However, there are a few solutions to minimize your nightly spending when you hit the town.

Solutions:
1. Arrive Early
Parking is scarce and expensive when it comes to weekends out on the town. Early arrival can increase your chances of finding a close parking spot.

But now you and your friends are early with nothing to do?

2. Hosted Bars
Many venues make available to their patrons about an hour of complimentary drinks. This can be a great time to socialize with friends and perhaps meet someone with the luxury of having “private-space” to chat and hit it off.

How about a cover charge?

3. Guest Lists
Don’t want to pay for entry? Then have yourself and your friends on a guest list. You pay no cover, and, with early arrival you get into any venue faster and easier.

Didn’t have enough to drink at the “Hosted Bar”?

4. Drink Specials

Ask the bar tender for the drink special of the night. A majority of the time you can get a Rockstar Vodka or perhaps your favorite drink for pennies on the dollar. A traditional drink can cost up to $12 but drink specials can cost you as little as $5. All you have to do is ask!

Its that easy! So does the economy have to hold anybody back from having a good time? No. Just follow these easy steps and you’ll see that you and your friends will find “going out” so much more fun and affordable.
